What are Apologetics Courses?

Do Catholics worship Mary? Is the Catholic Mass found in the Bible? Is the Pope infallible? Why do Catholics pray to the dead? Why do Catholics have 7 extra books in their bibles? If you have ever struggled to answer questions like these, then St. Bernard welcomes you to it’s newest ministry on apologetics! What is apologetics? Apologetics comes from the Greek word, apologia which means, “to defend.” At Saint Bernard’s Apologetics Ministry, all participants will be taught how to correctly defend the Catholic faith against other religions and Protestant denominations. In this ministry you will learn about several different topics (see schedule below); classes are designed to make the participant analyze the Catholic faith in order to better defend it . In these classes you will learn how to better understand and apply Catholic theology by looking at scriptural, historical, polemical and magisterial teachings.

Come join us every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month in Classroom #1 for our Apologetics Ministry! All classes are free! Just don’t forget to bring your Bibles and your Catechisms! Classes start promptly at 7:00 p.m. and end by 8:30 p.m. Previous class outlines and audio are available below for download below.
